Embracing the Spirit of Gratitude with Brentwood Dental Designs

The Thanksgiving holiday is fast approaching and at Brentwood Dental Designs, we’re reflecting on the things that we are most grateful for like family, friends, and health. It’s important to take time to celebrate our bonds of togetherness with each other and our community.

This year we are thankful for the wonderfully talented group of women that we work with. The BDD team has eight members who are all highly skilled, innately compassionate, and committed to excellence.  We all lift each other up and put forth our best efforts each day to provide the best care for our patients. In particular, at the end of every day as she is leaving the office, Dr. Johnson always thanks each and every one of her staff by saying, “Thank you for a lovely day.”  She is the epitome of grace and gratitude.

Our staff member, Rachael, has a lot to share on the subject of thanksgiving and we loved it all so much we thought we’d share it with you. Rachael’s family commemorates each Thanksgiving with an ornament for the Christmas tree. Her grandparents started the tradition and her mother continues it by gifting each of the grandchildren a beautiful ornament each year. Rachael hopes they continue the tradition when they grow up.

One of her favorite memories to recount is from a few Thanksgivings ago when a storm caused power outages in New Hampshire. Her family piled into the car together and headed over to Massachusetts, where her parents own a furniture store. They cooked a turkey, made all the side dishes, and set up dinner on one of the dining room displays! It was one of the most unexpected yet fancy and amusing Thanksgivings!

Rachael’s favorite Thanksgiving side is her mother-in-law’s stuffing recipe. The recipe was created by a chef from the Lock-Ober Restaurant in Boston. It’s delicious! After a big Thanksgiving dinner Rachael likes to bundle up and head to the beach for a relaxing stroll – the cold, brisk sea air is always refreshing!

We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and as always, don’t hesitate to give our office a call if you have any questions!
