Resolutions 2018

If you’re like us, you might be eager to get back into a productive routine and create healthier habits this year. Before you start writing out a long list of resolutions, here are a few small ways to establish a lifestyle you can actually stick to!

Resolutions are made with good intentions but often are abandoned by the time February rolls around. Instead, Dr. Johnson finds better success in creating a healthy lifestyle that is maintainable year-round, rather than setting goals with an expiration date. Adding in more whole foods into your diet (and less sugar!) paired with regular exercise is a great way to get started. Trust us, your body will thank you. Even small changes like drinking more water every day can add up over time to make a big difference in how you feel.

We started our first day back at work with lots of positive energy and of course, some hugs after being apart for a while. We were excited to be back together and happy to see our wonderful patients who wanted to start off their year by taking care of their oral health.

Speaking of, one of our office resolutions this year is to keep educating our community about how important oral health is for your overall well being. We suggest our patients use a power toothbrush to get the best quality at-home brushing possible. Floss is also so important! It helps to get rid of food particles stuck in your teeth that a toothbrush can’t get out. Keep floss in your car, shower or wherever will best remind you to get it done every day.

We’re excited to continue practicing above the standard of care with your total health in mind. And, we are passionate about helping patients reach their optimal health potential. Dr. Johnson also has some exciting news: this year, she will graduate from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry. Way to go!

Thank you for always being awesome patients. We look forward to seeing you in the office soon and hope you are having an energetic, joyful and healthy start of the year!
