Jo-Ann is one of the first smiling faces you will see when you visit BDD. She has worn many different hats in the dental profession over the past thirty-five years. Her experience, bright smile and wonderful sense of humor are the reason she’s the go-to person at BDD! As a result, the team, as well as the patients, share a sense of family here at the practice. Whether it be assisting with financial arrangements or treatment plans, she is here to help everyone reach their ultimate goals.
Jo-Ann and her husband Tim of twenty-six years have two beautiful children, Madison a 2021 graduate from Virginia Tech Corp’s of Cadets with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology that now resides in Virginia, and their son Jack a senior and soon to be graduate from The Pamplin College Of Business at Virginia Tech. Clinical Care Coordinator | Registered Dental Hygienist
Rachael has been a hygienist for over 30 years and takes great pride in providing thorough but gentle care to our patients and their families. Her favorite part of the dental hygiene appointment is building rapport and getting to know our patients on a personal level, which allows her to customize their care according to their needs and desires. Rachael has recently transitioned from clinical care to being in a more administrative role as our Clinical Care Support Coordinator.
Rachael’s life is shared with her husband, John, and their two daughters, Madeleine, and Reagan. In her free time, she can be found at the beach with her dog (autumn and winter walks are their favorite), riding her Peloton, or cooking/entertaining for friends and family. As a New England native, Rachael loves nature and looks forward to the magic that each season brings.
Certified Dental Assistant
Lauren has been working in the field of dentistry for 25 years and can honestly say that she still has passion and a love for what she does! Lauren has been travelling and training alongside Dr. Johnson in Functional Aesthetics and works with patients to create beautiful and even more importantly healthy, functional ‘Smiles by Design’. She enjoys using her artistic skills while working on each individual case. Her goal is to give each patient a healthy, stable, and protective chewing system, and the beautiful confident smile they have always dreamed of!
Lauren and her husband Peter have lived in New Hampshire for almost 25 years. They have 2 sons, Will – 18 who is attending the Diesel Mechanics Program at White Mountains Community College in Berlin, NH, and their younger son Logan – 16 who attends Sanborn Regional High School and has been a dedicated soccer player for several years now. Lauren is always keeping Peter on his toes and is passionate about animals and rescuing those in need. They have 2 dogs: Camouflage Hank and Ruger Blue, both Catahoula Leopard dogs. They are both good ol’ southern boys, rescued from Louisiana and Alabama. In addition to their dogs, they also have a Bearded Dragon named Steve. Because Lauren’s mom always tells her, “If you Rest, You’ll Rust” she has decided that when she retires, she will work with animal rescues and she hopes she will never “rust”.
In her spare time, Lauren can be found gardening and maintaining her ‘Oasis’ in the backyard, hiking with her dogs, exercising, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Cazzandra or “Cazz” is one of our dental assistants and has been with us since 2013. She loves being part of BDD and working alongside this group of amazing ladies. Cazz is here to make you feel comfortable. She will calm you, breathe with you, and always laugh with you. Help providing a more peaceful appointment is important to her. Making sure our patients leave with a smile is her goal.
Cazzandra and her husband Mark were born and raised here in NH where they too have settled down, raised 3 children, and built a home together. Cazz loves to hike, her favorite place to be is on top of a mountain, preferably in the White Mountains. She enjoys camping, concerts, walking her pups, yoga, running, rollerblading, cycle class, and any activity that makes her move. There’s not a lot of down time and she prefers it that way. She believes that every day is a gift and lives life that way.
Amanda is our newest team member! Her extensive background in Human Resources and deep passion for Holistic health guided her to our office. Amanda is dedicated to our patients, educating them on all aspects of their procedures, providing them information, and bringing a level of comfort and ease to their experience.
She is particularly interested in furthering her knowledge of the whole-body wellness aspect of our quality care. She is excited to learn and evolve along with the ever-changing world of healthcare, mastering new skills and techniques with ease.
Outside of the office you Amanda is a free spirit that lives for nature and the healing it brings. You can find her anywhere from hiking the white mountains-practicing alchemy to soaking in the sunrise with yoga on the beach.

Meet Jordan — the baby of the BDD family! Jordan started with us in October of 2021 with a year experience in dental assisting under her belt. She is currently enrolled at New Hampshire Technical Institute as a part-time student with the goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist.
Looking to get a brighter, whiter smile? While keeping our office sterile, clean, and safe, Jordan is also certified in Zoom! Whitening.
When she’s not working or studying, Jordan enjoys reading, spending quality time with her husband and laying in the sun during her favorite season — summer! If Jordan didn’t have a love for teeth, she’d be doing something with animals as she is a HUGE animal lover!
